Thousands of Romanians participated on Saturday in the 11th edition of the event "Bucharest International Air Show & General Aviation Exhibition" (BIAS 2019), held at Băneasa - Aurel Vlaicu Airport, in the capital. Romania's most impressive air show and the most anticipated of the year brought together hundreds of aircraft, civilian and military pilots. Alongside them, for the first time as an exhibitor and participant, the Jetav Academy gathered thousands of people interested in flight and aviation at its BIAS stand.

I met Andra during the Jetav Flight Academy aviation school courses, where she was preparing to obtain her flight license. She quickly obtained the certificate of cabin membership and was hired as a flight attendant at Volotea, because now she has to change her uniform with the famous red hat and prepare for a new road, to Dubai. Andra tells us below why she thinks she managed to become an Emirates flight attendant and how the Jetav school courses helped her.

The airline Air Bucharest is organizing a new recruitment in Bucharest and is looking to hire flight attendants with and without experience.

There are 13 cabin crew positions available, as follows:
– 3 SCC seats- 1 year of experience or 200 flight hours as cabin chief- List of qualifications valid on B737-300-900
– 5 seats with experience - minimum 1000 flight hours - list of qualifications valid on B 737-300-900
– 5 places- no experience- EASA certificate- according to regulation EC 290/2012 or proof that you are enrolled in an aviation school after which you will obtain this certificate;

Deadline for applications: 24 February 2020.

Now that all commercial airlines have temporarily suspended passenger flights, all flight attendants are safe at home. Driven by their job, airline cabin crew members are used to seeing different places and countries almost daily or every week. Staying at home for about a month can be kind of boring, but they have no choice but to comply with the rules set by each individual government.
At the beginning of March, governments around the world ordered a community isolation to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (CoviD-19). This also includes travel restrictions to and from the affected areas, forcing airlines to suspend passenger operations due to reduced demand for air travel.

It has taken me a while to write this text because aviation professionals are trying their best at this time and much of what is written about this industry is charged with the energy of closure, stagnation and in some cases transformation . I hope the lines below bring more optimism and confidence.

In aviation, during this period, changes are being made on a global scale at the level of personnel, culture and organizational and operational administration.
