Summer school at the airfield means adrenaline, fun and real flying, every day!
Together with our pilots and instructors, children will take off daily, for 5 days, for 30 minutes of real flight aboard one of the aircraft in the JETAV Aviation Academy fleet. Together we learn the basics of aviation – from simplified, age-appropriate theory to practical experience. It’s the perfect chance to feel what it really means to be a pilot!
Age: 11 – 17 years old
Groups: 4-6 children

We get to know each other, introduce the JETAV team – the administrative staff and the pilots responsible for the activities. Every day, the children participate in 2–3 hours of theory at their own pace, inspired by the first module of the PPL pilot course – the first license that pilots can obtain starting at the age of 17.
The instructor will explain what will happen during the flight, talk about the airplane, review an aeronautical map, and present safety rules. Topics covered include: air navigation, radiotelephony and communications, aircraft components, reading aeronautical maps and understanding airspace, and the basics of aviation meteorology.
But we don't stop there. Children will even have the opportunity to visit the control tower, to see in real time how air traffic is coordinated.
All activities are age-appropriate and delivered in an interactive, friendly and engaging way – exactly how a first encounter with the fascinating world of aviation should be!
Just before take off
The pilot will demonstrate the interior of the aircraft, including the operation of the aircraft door, seat belts and instrument panel.
In the air
Each participant lives the authentic experience of flying! The flight lasts 30 minutes per day, for 5 days, aboard one of our school's aircraft, alongside an instructor pilot.
Children will sit at the helm, learn to follow the on-board instruments – all in a safe and controlled environment, under the close supervision of a professional.
It is a memorable experience that combines the joy of flying with practical learning, providing confidence, enthusiasm and courage to dream as high as possible!
Back to the ground
More time to ask questions about the flight! Our pilot can't wait to share more information and answer questions. Then there are 2 hours of theory at the PPL school adapted to the meaning of the little ones.
